As a queer, British born, Iranian/Croatian artist, educator and researcher, my inquiries are concerned with (re)creating practices of belonging, with and in ecologies. I am interested in the interrelation of places, species, cultures and materials beyond hierarchies. My work is fundamentally concerned with the power of narratives as a transformative tool: exploring displacement; loss; belonging; play; trauma; transformation and healing. My studio and education practices sit at the intersections of storytelling, radical pedagogy, healing work and site-specific public art, spanning sculptural objects, artist publications, sound, and performance.
My work has supported, and been supported by, arts spaces, institutions and organisations in the UK including; Tate Britain, INIVA, Serpentine Marathon, The Barbican, Create London, TACO!,
Cubbit, Flat Time House, Earlsmead Primary School, AiR, Willow Bank Primary School, RTM.fm,
Scottish Sculpture Workshop, The Cock Tavern, Wysing Arts Centre, Nottingham Contemporary,
Bow Arts, Harris Garrard Academy, You Should See The Other Guy, Peabody Housing Association,
Bexley Council, Haringey Council, Art Night, Ferry Lane Primary School, ASP Fair.
